Labels Your Way began with the idea that our customers should be able to create their own bespoke labels and stickers without having to send 20+ emails to our UK-based sales team. Working with sales, the marketing team and I created messaging around this new service, website wireframes, web content, a promotional campaign, and the visuals needed to support it all.

PROCESS

Working with the sales team, we identified our target market, researched their unique challenges, and developed messaging that could speak to their needs. Together, my team of fellow marketers and designers identified our competitive advantage and created messaging and visuals that could communicate the value of our online label builder across platforms.

CHALLENGES

I wish I could say this process was smooth and clean, but that just wasn’t the case. By the time our marketing department got on board, the sales team had already designed a logo, picked out brand colors, and chose a name. None of that was going to cut it.

So, we took a big step back to square one—without upsetting our overly ambitious sales team. Knowing we needed their support, we took time to listen to their ideas and feedback before doing our own research and ideating.
